The etiological spectrum and some immunoaggressive properties of microorganisms, that cause pyoderma in newborns which were isolated from patients have been studied. It was established that staphylococci (mostly coagulase-positive S. aureus, S. hyicus, S. intermedius) played the leading role in etiology of pyoderma, mostly in association with coagulase-negative staphylococci and (or) other conditionally pathogenic bacteria. Staphylococci occupying significant place in the skin diseases etiology are multiresistant to antibiotics and have valuable anti-lysozyme and anticomplement activities.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered the etiological spectrum and epidemiological characteristics of pediatric respiratory diseases, and a profound understanding of these changes is crucial for guiding clinical treatment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the etiological patterns and epidemiological features of pathogens in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) from children with pediatric lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) after the COVID-19 pandemic, with the aim of providing effective therapeutic evidence for clinical practice.
Methods: This study enrolled pediatric patients diagnosed with LRTIs who were treated and underwent BALF pathogen detection at our hospital from June 1, 2023, to June 1, 2024.

Background/objectives: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) are two diseases highly prevalent in the aging population and often co-occur. The exact relationship between the two diseases is uncertain, though epidemiological studies have demonstrated that CVDs appear to increase the risk of AD and vice versa. Objectives: This study aimed to identify the aetiological spectrum, seasonal distribution and antimicrobial resistance patterns of diarrhoeal diseases in Bhutan.
Study Design And Setting: The study used a cross-sectional, retrospective analysis of secondary data gathered through a passive, hospital-based sentinel surveillance for diarrhoeal disease across 12 hospitals, representing Bhutan's demographically diverse regions.
Participants: A total of 3429 participants' data of all age groups who presented with diarrhoea at sentinel hospitals between 1 January 1 2016 and 31 December 2022 were analysed.
