Introduction: Sarcoma of the common pulmonary artery is a rare malignant tumor that can mimic pulmonary embolism.
Exegesis: We report a case of a pulmonary artery sarcoma that occurred in a 60-year-old woman and had an unusual (4-year duration) evolution.
Conclusion: Early diagnosis with adequate surgical procedures (complete resection) leads to better prognosis.
