Aim: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the breast is an uncommon well-differentiated tumour with good prognosis, and sometimes difficult to distinguish from in-situ and invasive cribriform carcinoma (ICC) which are relatively more common. Recently, we encountered a case of ACC that proved to be totally oestrogen receptor (ER) negative by immunohistochemistry. We investigated the possibility that this may be a consistent feature that can help in differentiating ACC from ICC which are usually ER positive.
Methods And Results: The immunoperoxidase technique was used to study the expression of ER and other related proteins in six cases of ACC and two cases of ICC. All ACC cases were negative for oestrogen (ER) and progesterone (PgR) receptors whereas the two ICC were strongly positive for ER and showed a variable degree of PgR positivity. In addition, ACC cases were pS2 negative and showed minimal expression of prolactin receptors (PrlR), while the two ICC showed widespread and strong staining for pS2 and PrlR. The percentages of cells staining positively for Ki67 and p27 were generally lower in ACC than in ICC. Both tumour types were c-erbB-2 negative, but p53 was weakly to moderately positive.
Conclusions: The findings suggest that a negative immunoperoxidase staining for ER would confirm the diagnosis of ACC in contrast to the positive staining which is always seen in ICC. The findings also raise the issue of the presence of a specific class of ER negative breast carcinomas which are negative not because of poor differentiation, but because of their derivation from, or differentiation along, an ER negative cell lineage.

Objective: This study evaluated the performance of a deep learning-based vertebral compression fracture (VCF) detection tool in patients with incidental VCF. The purpose of this study was to validate this tool across multiple sites and multiple vendors.
Methods: This was a retrospective, multicenter, multinational blinded study using anonymized chest and abdominal CT scans performed for indications other than VCF in patients ≥50 years old.

Background: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignant tumor that accounts for <1 % of head and neck malignancies, with an estimated involvement of the tongue at approximately 3 %.
Case Presentation: This report presents a case of a 42-year-old male with no significant history of tobacco or alcohol use, who developed a painless, progressively enlarging mass on the ventral surface of his tongue over the course of eight months. Initial surgical resection confirmed the diagnosis of ACC, which necessitated a right hemiglossectomy followed by radiotherapy to address potential residual disease.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical benefits and outcomes of adjuvant radiation therapy on adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) patients. All patients with ACC that were reported between 2010 and 2015 were identified from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database. A forward-stepwise Cox proportional hazards regression was used to identify independent risk factors.

: Acinic cell carcinoma (ACC) is a rare lung neoplasm that can affect both children and adults as a parenchymal or endobronchial mass. It is histologically similar to this kind of tumor described in salivary glands, but with a different immunophenotype. In general, it poses a reduced degree of malignancy, with indolent growth and a favorable prognosis, with exceptionally rare cases associated with recurring disease or lymph node metastases.

Necrosis in postoperative histology has been reported as being specific for adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) compared to adenoma. We therefore retrospectively analyzed the diagnostic accuracy of the finding of necrosis in preoperative cross-sectional imaging and postoperative histology as a marker for ACC in our patient cohort. Among the 411 adrenalectomies in 396 patients performed between 2008 and April 2022, 30 cases of ACC (7.
