We report 8 cases of lateral plantar neuropathy (LPN). All had sensory impairment over the territory of the lateral plantar nerve. Near-nerve needle sensory nerve conduction study (NCS) of the plantar nerves showed abnormality confined to the lateral plantar nerve, confirming LPN. The most common cause for LPN was trauma and the most common site of injury was at the passage of the lateral plantar nerve through the abductor tunnel at the instep of the foot.

Objective: Pedal acceleration time (PAT) is a novel method of using diagnostic ultrasound to evaluate the haemodynamic characteristics of pedal arteries and has potential as an adjunct vascular testing method. The primary objective of this study was to assess the diagnostic accuracy of PAT in identifying peripheral artery disease (PAD) in a population with clinically suspected PAD.
Methods: This was a multicentre cross sectional study to estimate the diagnostic test accuracy.

The talus has a comparatively high occurrence of osteochondral lesions (OCL), largely due to its unique anatomic characteristics. These lesions can occur post-traumatic or primary. Patients often present with non-specific symptoms, making a thorough clinical examination essential.

Background: Microvascular function, particularly of the plantar foot, reflects overall vascular health and is influenced by physiological oscillators such as heart rate, respiratory, myogenic, and neurogenic rhythms. Slow deep breathing modulates autonomic nervous system activity and affects peripheral microcirculation. This study investigates the effects of slow deep breathing on plantar foot perfusion using photoplethysmography imaging (PPGI).

Plantar pressure distribution measurement is significant for healthy monitoring and disease diagnosis. However, existing equipment lack of high-density resolution and may lead under-diagnosed of small abnormal regions. To address problem, we propose a special high resolution and low cost Baropodometry based on vision based tactile sensing (VBTS).

Purpose: Medializing displacement calcaneal osteotomies are part of conservative surgical treatments and represent a reliable option in valgus flatfoot deformities. Favorable short-term results of this procedure is well-known. However, there are few series with follow-up beyond five years.
