Purpose Of Review: Recent research underscores the significant influence of the skin and gut microbiota on melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC) development and treatment outcomes. This review aims to synthesize current findings on how microbiota modulates immune responses, particularly enhancing the efficacy of immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).
Recent Findings: The microbiota's impact on skin cancer is multifaceted, involving immune modulation, inflammation, and metabolic interactions.

Microelectrodes offer exceptional sensitivity, rapid response, and versatility, making them ideal for real-time detection and monitoring applications. Photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensors have shown great value in many fields due to their high sensitivity, fast response, and ease of operation. Nevertheless, conventional PEC sensing relies on cumbersome external light sources and bulky electrodes, hindering its miniaturization and implantation, thereby limiting its application in real-time disease monitoring.

Alopecia areata (AA) is a chronic, autoimmune skin disease characterized by non-scarring hair loss. Baricitinib, a Janus kinase inhibitor (JAKi), prevents hair loss and promotes hair regrowth by inhibiting the inflammatory Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK-STAT) signaling pathway involved in cytotoxic T cell responses targeting hair follicles. The introduction of JAKi has transformed treatment against severe AA.
