A case of massive intracerebral hemorrhage, a rare but often fatal complication of amphetamine abuse, is described along with the review of the literature. There has been resurgence in the abuse of amphetamine. Amphetamine or other illicit drug abuse should be considered in young patients with cerebrovascular events.

Background: Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) and protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) are considered to be a synthetic lethal pair of targets, due to the fact that deletion of MTAP leads to massive production of methylthioadenosine (MTA) decreasing the activity of PRMT5. In vitro and in vivo experiments have demonstrated that MRTX1719, a small molecule that selectively binds PRMT5/MTA complex, significantly inhibits the proliferation of MTAP-deficient tumors and has a weak toxic effect on normal cells. However, it has been reported that MTAP-deleted tumors did not significantly accumulate MTA in vivo due to metabolism of MTA by MTAP-expressing stroma, which might lead to a diminished anti-cancer effect of MRTX1719.

Rationale: We reported a rare case of recurrent cerebral infarction, intracerebral hemorrhage, and purulent meningitis, culminating in the diagnosis of a young patient with infective endocarditis who had been treated in 3 hospitals for a long course of illness for 8 months prior to diagnosis. It aims to enhance clinicians' understanding of the neurological complications caused by infective endocarditis.
Patient Concerns: A 25-year-old male, student, was hospitalized for an 8-hour history of speech impairment and drooling with dysphagia.

Introduction: While angioembolization is occasionally required for craniofacial fracture patients who experience massive maxillofacial hemorrhage, complications such as headache, temporal-facial pain, soft tissue necrosis, and embolic material migration leading to stroke or blindness can arise. Few studies have explored delayed or progressive intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) following angioembolization for craniofacial fractures.
Methods: A retrospective review of craniofacial fracture patients from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2022 at our institution was conducted.
