Background: Among occupational hazards in healthcare settings, latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) ranks as a major concern, particularly threatening healthcare workers (HCWs) in nations grappling with intermediate to high tuberculosis (TB) rates. Our study was conducted in Morocco, a country characterized by widespread Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination and a moderate TB burden of 93 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 2022. We examined both the prevalence of LTBI among Moroccan HCWs and its various risk factors.

During public health crises such as pandemics, governments must rapidly adopt and implement wide-reaching policies and programs ("public policy interventions"). A key takeaway from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic was that although numerous randomized controlled trials (RCTs) focussed on drugs and vaccines, few policy experiments were conducted to evaluate effects of public policy interventions across various sectors on viral transmission and other consequences. Moreover, many quasi-experimental studies were of spurious quality, thus proving unhelpful for informing public policy.

Objectives The study evaluated the efficacy of antiarrhythmic pharmacotherapies in managing tachyarrhythmia episodes in pediatric patients with congenital heart diseases post-tricuspid valve repair, assessing reductions in haemodynamic parameters and symptomatic variables, and observing side effects. Methods From January 2020 to January 2024, this study reviewed data from 300 patients, aged up to 18 years, who experienced arrhythmia following cardiac surgery and received treatment with amiodarone, propranolol, or both. The information included demographic and anthropometric measures, haemodynamic parameters, and antiarrhythmic drugs used to treat arrhythmias before and after tricuspid valve repair.

Introduction: Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH)-related infectious diseases contribute to approximately 5% of the global disease burden. Despite sanitation being a human right, 673 million people worldwide had limited access to toilets. To tackle the same, Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) was launched in 2014 to facilitate the construction of over 100 million individual household latrines (IHHLs) across India.
