Data of analysis of the role of vibration in the development of hepatobiliary pathology in helicopter pilots are reported. Vibration was found to drastically deteriorate colloid-osmotic qualities of the bile and increase the lithogenesis risk. Exposure to vibration over 10 and more years of the flying career may instigate cholelithiasis. Dynamic USI with functional testing for early diagnostics and correction with ursodeoxycholic acid (ursosan) of disorders in the colloid-osmotic properties of the bile and can be proposed as one of the methods to prevent cholelithiasis.

Mechanosensitive fluorescent probes are valuable tools for detecting changes in cellular mechanics and viscosity. While numerous mechanosensitive probes have been developed, the construction of molecular assemblies for probing cellular mechanics remains largely unexplored, possibly due to the challenges of designing assemblies with synergistic and integrated functionalities. Here, we report the design and synthesis of mechanosensitive molecular assemblies by integrating DNA frameworks with vibration-induced emission (VIE) probes to enable live-cell membrane tension imaging.

High vibration poses significant safety and operational risks to compressor components. This study presents a thorough investigation of the root causes analysis and corrective actions to resolve vibration-induced failures faced on the suction system of a reciprocating compressor. Excessive pressure pulsations in the suction bottle and strong mechanical coupling between the cylinders and suction bottle due to high cylinder gas forces were identified as the root causes of vibration-induced failure of the suction system.

Therapeutic delivery of anti-cancer drugs is a major goal of modern medicine. However, developing methods to target cancer cells for more effective treatment and reduced side effects is a significant ongoing challenge. Microrobots have recently been studied for their ability to navigate difficult-to-reach regions in the human body to deliver therapeutics for microscopically localized interventions.

Excavation of subway tunnels in hard rock generates strong vibration waves that pose potential risks to the stability of surrounding structures. In this study, the discrete element method-finite difference method (DEM-FDM) coupling was adopted to build the model of tunnel structure-rock-pile, which was validated by field monitoring data. Then, the vibration response of piles under various pile-tunnel spacings was analyzed, revealing the occurrence of vibration peak rebound phenomena within certain distance ranges.
