We report a case of persistent consciousness disturbance due to non-convulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) following a successful mechanical thrombectomy (MT). A 98-year-old female with atrial fibrillation presented with impaired consciousness and right hemiparesis 6 hrs after her last known well state. Magnetic resonance angiography revealed occlusion of the left internal carotid artery, necessitating MT to achieve complete recanalisation.

Methods: This is a causal inference study of observational data from the trials SWIFT DIRECT and EXTEND-IA TNK Parts 1 and 2 applying target trial emulation. We compared patients receiving thrombectomy alone to patients receiving tenecteplase 0.

Background: The wide variability in thresholds on computed tomography (CT) perfusion parametric maps has led to controversy in the stroke imaging community about the most accurate measurement of core infarction.
Purpose: To investigate the feasibility of using U-Net to perform infarct core segmentation in CT perfusion imaging.
Material And Methods: CT perfusion parametric maps were the input of U-Net, while the ground truth segmentation was determined based on diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI).
