Interactive methods support decision-makers in finding the most preferred solution for multiobjective optimization problems, where multiple conflicting objective functions must be optimized simultaneously. These methods let a decision-maker provide preference information iteratively during the solution process to find solutions of interest, allowing them to learn about the trade-offs in the problem and the feasibility of the preferences. Several interactive evolutionary multiobjective optimization methods have been proposed in the literature.

Urban focused semantically segmented datasets (e.g. ADE20k or CoCo) have been crucial in boosting research and applications in urban areas by providing rich sources of delineated objects in Street View Images (SVI).

One group of elements attracting more and more attention are so-called technology-critical elements (TCEs). In comparison with legacy pollutants, the anthropogenic impact of TCEs on the environment might still be minor, but various applications introduce them to the most remote places in the world including the marine environment. One area prone to pollution is the Baltic Sea, partly due to the lack of water exchange with the North Sea.

Skyrmions can form regular arrangements, so-called skyrmion crystals (SkXs). A mode with multiple wavevectors q then describes the arrangement. While magnetic SkXs, which can emerge in the presence of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, are well established, polar skyrmion lattices are still elusive.

Solar driven energetic particle precipitation (EPP) is an important factor in polar atmospheric ozone balance and has been linked to ground-level regional climate variability. However, the linking mechanism has remained ambiguous. The observed and simulated ground-level changes start well before the processes from the main candidate, the so-called EPP-indirect effect, would start.
