Importance: Safer supply programs were implemented in Canada to provide pharmaceutical-grade alternatives to the toxic unregulated drug supply. While research shows clinical benefits and reduced overdose mortality among safer supply patients, medication diversion remains a concern.
Objective: To examine provider (prescribing clinicians and allied health professionals) and patient perspectives on diversion of opioids prescribed in safer supply programs.

Urostomy patients are rare as only about 5% of ostomates have urostomies. This can prove challenging because many healthcare professionals do not have experience caring for these patients and may be unfamiliar with their specific needs. As with other ostomates, urostomy patients require specialist nurses with the expertise to provide long-term support.

Objectives: Ambulance diversion has emerged as a strategy to address Emergency Department (ED) overcrowding, but the question of when or whether diversion should be triggered is widely debated. Although the positive and adverse impacts of diversion have been primarily studied using quantitative data, little is known about the experience and perceptions of key stakeholders involved in diversions. Our study aims to explore the challenges and impacts of ambulance diversion as experienced by key stakeholders and their suggestions for improving the diversion process.

Background: Numerous formal strategies, screening tools, and interventions have been used to prevent malnutrition in long-term care patients. Despite these efforts, the proportion of screened patients is low, and a large proportion are malnourished. Previous research has revealed that healthcare professionals use a broad approach in their nutritional care but has also emphasised the need for further investigation into these approaches.
