Cardiovascular disease essential medicines listing by countries: changes over time and association with health outcomes.

Background: Since national essential medicine lists guide the procurement of medicines for populations in many countries, and cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally, including cardiovascular medicines on these lists can significantly impact healthcare outcomes.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, national essential medicines' lists from 158 countries were analysed on whether or not they included medicines to treat ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and hypertensive heart disease. A linear regression model was used to evaluate the association between countries' coverage scores and amenable mortality.

The large-scale loach (Paramisgurnus dabryanus; Cypriniformes: Cobitidae) is primarily distributed in East Asia. It is an important economic fish species characterized by fast growth, temperature-dependent sex determination and the ability to breathe air. Currently, molecular mechanism studies related to some aspects such as sex determination, toxicology, feed nutrition, growth and genetic evolution have been conducted.

Neurobrucellosis is a neurological disorder caused by Brucella infection. It typically occurs as part of the multisystem involvement of brucellosis, or may also present as brucellosis. The existing clinical practice guidelines and expert consensus on human brucellosis are outdated and provide limited guidance specific to the diagnosis and management of neurobrucellosis, failing to meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers and patients.
