This study employed high-time-resolution systems to examine the transient properties of aerosols and gases emitted from electronic cigarette (EC) puffs. Using a fast aerosol sizer, we measured particle size distributions (PSDs) across various EC brands (JUUL, VUSE, VOOPOO), revealing sizes ranging from 5 to 1000 nm at concentrations of 10 to 10 cm. Most aerosols were found to be in the ultrafine range (below 100 nm), with JUUL-, VUSE-, and VOOPOO-producing aerosols with geometric mean sizes of 19.

Amino acids and dipicolinic acid (DPA) are important biomarkers for identifying human health. Establishing rapid, accurate, sensitive, and simple assays is essential for disease prevention and early diagnosis. In this work, a novel Zn(II) metal-organic framework (MOF) with the formula {[Zn(μ-OH)(BTDI)(dpp)]·dpp·4HO·2DMF} (, where denotes Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, HBTDI = 5,5'-(benzo[][1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-diyl)diisophthalic acid; dpp = 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane) was successfully synthesized via a mixed-ligands strategy.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) produced by the floating-catalyst chemical vapor deposition (FCCVD) method are among the most promising nanomaterials of today, attracting interest from both academic and industrial sectors. These CNTs exhibit exceptional electrical conductivity, optical properties, and mechanical resilience due to their binder-free and low-defect structure, while the FCCVD method enables their continuous and scalable synthesis. Among the methodological FCCVD variations, aerosol CVD' is distinguished by its production of freestanding thin films comprising macroscale CNT networks, which exhibit superior performance and practical applicability.
