Currently, many of the electronic services are still new, and there may be a need for further fine-tuning and changes. Having separate electronic addresses for each service rather than having one centralized address will make it easier for NLM to identify and isolate questions or problems. The Appendix summarizes the commands and addresses mentioned in this article.

Purpose: We previously developed an approach to calibrate computational tools for clinical variant classification, updating recommendations for the reliable use of variant impact predictors to provide evidence strength up to . A new generation of tools using distinctive approaches have since been released, and these methods must be independently calibrated for clinical application.

Method: Using our local posterior probability-based calibration and our established data set of ClinVar pathogenic and benign variants, we determined the strength of evidence provided by three new tools (AlphaMissense, ESM1b, VARITY) and calibrated scores meeting each evidence strength.

Mice are key model organisms in neuroscience and motor systems physiology. Fine motor control tasks performed by mice have become widely used in assaying neural and biophysical motor system mechanisms. Although fine motor tasks provide useful insights into behaviors which require complex multi-joint motor control, there is no previously developed physiological biomechanical model of the adult mouse forelimb available for estimating kinematics nor muscle activity or kinetics during behaviors.

Background: The prevalence of major depressive disorder (MDD) poses significant global health challenges, with available treatments often insufficient in achieving remission for many patients. Digital health technologies, such as SMS text messaging-based cognitive behavioral therapy, offer accessible alternatives but may not reach all individuals. Email communication presents a secure avenue for health communication, yet its effectiveness compared to SMS text messaging in providing mental health support for patients with MDD remains uncertain.

Article Synopsis
  • Adverse drug events (AEs) are a major public health issue, contributing to hospitalizations and affecting patients' quality of life, with social media being explored as a potential source for tracking these events.
  • This study investigates how effective social media analysis is for detecting AEs compared to traditional data sources like clinical literature and reporting systems.
  • The research involved reviewing numerous studies that utilized social media for AE detection, assessing methods, data sources, and the relevance of findings in relation to existing data.
