We examined the efficacy and adverse effects of low-dose intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) therapy in patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. Patients who underwent intravesical BCG therapy (n=176 ; 198 courses) at our hospital between April 2012 and December 2022 were enrolled. After assigning patients to either the low-dose or regular-dose (40 or 80 mg of BCG Tokyo 172 strain) groups, treatment efficacy and incidence of adverse events were compared.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common acute inflammatory autoimmune connective tissue arthropathy. The genetic studies, tissue analyses, experimental animal models, and clinical investigations have confirmed that stromal tissue damage and pathology driven by RA mounts the chronic inflammation and dysregulated immune events.
Methods: We developed methotrexate (MTX)-loaded lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles (MTX-LPHNPs) and aceclofenac (ACE)-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers (ACE-NLCs) for the efficient co-delivery of MTX and ACE via intravenous and transdermal routes, respectively.

We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 6142 women who had positive and negative PCR tests for this infection 6 months previously at 3 institutions in Kathmandu.

Setting-objective: In this study, it was aimed to reveal the incidence of tuberculosis development in patients receiving tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) blocker therapy, despite tuberculosis chemoprophylaxis.
Design: 520 patients who were receiving anti TNF-α treatment in the last 3 years were evaluated retrospectively. Radiological imaging tuberculin skin test (TST), history of tuberculosis, BCG vaccine, chemoprophylaxis administration, used anti TNF-α drugs were recorded.
