Purpose: To improve the oral absorption of relugolix (RLGL), which has low oral bioavailability due to its low solubility and being a substrate of P-glycoprotein (P-gp). A solid self-microemulsifying drug delivery system of relugolix (RLGL-S-SMEDDS) was prepared and evaluated in vitro and in vivo.
Methods: The composition of the solid self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (S-SMEDDS) was selected by solubility study and pseudo-ternary phase diagram, and further optimized by Design-Expert optimization design.

Background: Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a serious end-stage spectrum of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with associated high risk of hepatic and extrahepatic complications. Several studies showed the significant beneficial effect of dapagliflozin on body composition, hepatic and metabolic parameters on NAFLD/NASH patients. The study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of dapagliflozin in both diabetic and non-diabetic biopsy-proven NASH patients; compared to pioglitazone.

Purpose: To evaluate changes in non-target hepatic hemangiomas, which are neither subjected to embolization nor targeted for treatment, following selective bleomycin-lipiodol transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) of a giant hepatic hemangioma.
Materials And Methods: This single-center retrospective study included 24 patients with non-target hepatic hemangiomas distinct from primary giant hemangiomas treated with selective bleomycin-lipiodol TACE between 2009 and 2022. The size and volume of the lesions were assessed using computed tomography scans obtained before treatment, and at 6, 12 and 24 months.

Uncontrolled bleeding and infection following trauma continue to pose significant clinical challenges. This study employs hemoadhican (HD) polysaccharide, known for its superior hemostatic properties, as the foundational material to synthesize antibacterial carbon dots (H-CDs) through a hydrothermal method at various temperatures. The H-CDs exhibiting optimal antimicrobial properties were identified via in vitro antimicrobial characterization.
