A stochastic Schrödinger equation and matrix product state approach to carrier transport in organic semiconductors with nonlocal electron-phonon interaction.

Evaluation of the charge transport property of organic semiconductors requires exact quantum dynamics simulation of large systems. We present a numerically nearly exact approach to investigate carrier transport dynamics in organic semiconductors by extending the non-Markovian stochastic Schrödinger equation with complex frequency modes to a forward-backward scheme and by solving it using the matrix product state (MPS) approach. By utilizing the forward-backward formalism for noise generation, the bath correlation function can be effectively treated as a temperature-independent imaginary part, enabling a more accurate decomposition with fewer complex frequency modes.

Surface electromyography (sEMG) is a State-of-the-Art (SoA) sensing modality for non-invasive human-machine interfaces for consumer, industrial, and rehabilitation use cases. The main limitation of the current sEMG-driven control policies is the sEMG's inherent variability, especially cross-session due to sensor repositioning; this limits the generalization of the Machine/Deep Learning (ML/DL) in charge of the signal-to-command mapping. The other hot front on the ML/DL side of sEMG-driven control is the shift from the classification of fixed hand positions to the regression of hand kinematics and dynamics, promising a more versatile and fluid control.

We present an experimental study of multiple-electron capture-induced fragmentation dynamics of Ar2m+ (4 ≤m≤ 7) dimer ions in 4 keV/u Ar8+-Ar2 collisions. The fragment recoil ion pairs and the charge-changing projectiles are coincidentally measured using a double coincidence technique. The branching ratios between the different charge-sharing fragmentation channels show an inherent enhancement of the asymmetric channels.

In this study, visual recognition with a charge-coupled device (CCD) image feedback control system was used to record the movement of a coplanar XXY stage. The position of the stage is fedback through the image positioning method, and the positioning compensation of the stage is performed by the image compensation control parameter. The image resolution was constrained and resulted in an average positioning error of the optimized control parameter of 6.

Light control of droplets on photo-induced charged surfaces.

Institute of Biomedical and Health Engineering, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen 518055, China.

The manipulation of droplets plays a vital role in fundamental research and practical applications, from chemical reactions to bioanalysis. As an intriguing and active format, light control of droplets, typically induced by photochemistry, photomechanics, light-induced Marangoni effects or light-induced electric fields, enables remote and contactless control with remarkable spatial and temporal accuracy. However, current light control of droplets suffers from poor performance and limited reliability.
