The authors report 5 cases of post-traumatic rheumatoid polyarthritis. After the traumatism had initiated the first stages of ordinary inflammation, chain reactions, perhaps by means of an "immune" field, intervened to transform it into a self-maintained rheumatoid inflammation. In fact, the etiopathogenic problems of post-traumatic rheumatoid polyarthritis have not yet been elucidated and it cannot be said either that the question of legal compensation for it is any nearer solution. The growing importance of traumatisms in everyday life and of compensation for them, and the gravity of the condition and its disabling sequelae require that great caution should be exercised in the search for criteria for attributing the disease to the traumatism: the almost indefinite evolution of the disease with time makes the choice of the consolidation date arbitrary.

Background: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a prevalent and debilitating psychiatric illness that has been linked to poor health outcomes and increased risk of developing chronic health conditions, including multiple autoimmune diseases such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Aim: This meta-analysis assesses the epidemiological research in this field and briefly explores the hypothesized neurobiological and immunological mechanisms that may underlie the association between PTSD and the development of Autoimmune Disease.
Methods: PubMed, SCOPUS, and Cochrane Reviews databases were searched for all relevant articles in August 2023.

Introduction: Although the surgical techniques and functional outcomes of conventional total knee arthroplasty (TKA) are well-established, there is limited data available on robotic arm-assisted TKA (RATKA) in the context of valgus knee arthroplasty. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of RATKA in the correction of moderate to severe valgus knee deformities using minimally constrained implants and to evaluate the short-term functional outcomes associated with this technique.
Methods: This prospective study was conducted on patients with moderate to severe grade valgus knee deformity who underwent RATKA from August 1, 2020 to May 31, 2022.

Background: In recent years, the use of short cementless humeral components in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) has increased. This systematic review aimed to compare the radiological and clinical outcomes of uncemented RTSA using short versus standard humeral stems and assess the impact of these radiological changes on clinical outcomes.
Methods: A systematic electronic search was performed by two independent reviewers using PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane Library databases on 10 December 2024.

Background: While anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (aTSA) is standard of care in older patients with an intact rotator cuff undergoing shoulder arthroplasty for osteoarthritis (OA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), late post-traumatic sequelae (LPTS) or avascular necrosis (AVN), superiority of aTSA versus shoulder hemiarthroplasty (HA) remains controversial in younger patients. This study aimed to compare these two procedures in patients under 60 years regarding 1) overall and diagnosis specific revision rates, and 2) overall one-year change in pain and function.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed with data from the Dutch Arthroplasty Register (LROI) from 2014-2022.

Background: Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) have been associated with increased risks of autoimmune diseases. However, data are scarce on the role of specific ACEs as well as the potential mediating role of adverse mental health symptoms in this association.
Methods: A cohort study using the nationwide Icelandic Stress-And-Gene-Analysis (SAGA, 22,423 women) cohort and the UK Biobank (UKB, 86,492 women) was conducted.
