Context: The role of plasma metanephrine in adrenal venous sampling (AVS) for assessing lateralization in primary aldosteronism (PA) requires further clarification.
Objective: To evaluate the performance of plasma metanephrine in AVS for determining aldosterone lateralization in PA, with or without mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS).
Methods: Sequential AVS under cosyntropin stimulation was conducted in 58 consecutive patients with PA and indication for AVS.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) are debilitating diseases associated with divergent histopathological changes in the lungs. At present, due to cost and technical limitations, profiling cell types is not practical in large epidemiology cohorts (n > 1000). Here, we used computational deconvolution to identify cell types in COPD and IPF lungs whose abundances and cell type-specific gene expression are associated with disease diagnosis and severity.

Objective: To study pregnancy outcomes and complications in women with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).
Methods: A retrospective multicenter study was conducted at tertiary reference centers in 5 countries (Austria, Germany, Italy, Sweden, USA), including 72 adult women with CAH (nonclassic [NC] n = 34, simple virilizing [SV] n = 21, salt wasting [SW] n = 17).
Results: A total of 133 pregnancies, 112 live births, and 25 abortions were documented.

Introduction: Rupture of the flexor carpi radialis (FCR) tendon is a rare phenomenon that is often described in the setting of rheumatoid arthritis or following trauma. Pseudotendon formation is seen commonly among extensor tendons of the antebrachium, typically as a sequelae of traumatic injury, spontaneous rupture in rheumatism, or postoperatively. Less frequent is the presence of pseudotendon in flexor tendons of the forearm.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) is characterized by transient left ventricular dysfunction in the absence of significant coronary artery disease. First described in Japan in the 1990s by Sato et al., this unique reversible cardiomyopathy typically occurs in post-menopausal women and is frequently triggered by physical or physiological stress.
