This study investigates post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) by utilizing spectral dynamic causal modeling (spDCM) to examine changes in effective connectivity (EC) within the default mode, executive control, dorsal attention, and salience networks. Forty-one PSCI patients and 41 demographically matched healthy controls underwent 3D-T1WI and resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging on a 3.0T MRI.

Prcis: The discriminant function of glaucoma, obtained by the Laguna ONhE colorimetric program, significantly correlates with the BMO-MRW. Furthermore, the diagnostic capacity was inferior to other structural tests in POAG patients.

Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic capability for glaucoma and the correlation between peripapillary and macular parameters using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and optic nerve head hemoglobin (OHN Hb) levels assessed by the Laguna ONhE® software using colorimetric analysis.

In this work, we investigated individual bacteria belonging to strains of the Beijing family with different drug sensitivity (sensitive, multi and extensive drug-resistant) by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) in the fingerprint region. The latter is focused on the spectral bands, which correspond to a set of glutathione bands and DNA methylation patterns revealed due to 5-methylcytosine spectral biomarkers. It is shown that these spectral features can be correlated with drug sensitivity and DNA methylation.

Acoustic Measures According to Speaker Gender Identity: Differences and Correlation With Vocal Satisfaction.

J Voice

January 2025

Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP, Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Electronic address:

Objective: To analyze acoustic measures of speech and vowel samples from individuals of different genders and to correlate these acoustic measures with vocal satisfaction. This study aims to provide additional data on acoustic measures, serving as references for clinicians while emphasizing the importance of moving beyond cisgender norms. Additionally, it addresses a gap in the Brazilian context by exploring correlations between acoustic measures and self-perceived vocal satisfaction across diverse gender groups.

Immunological characteristics of peripheral T cells as prognostic markers for Camrelizumab and Apatinib combination therapy in advanced squamous non-small-cell lung cancer.

Mol Immunol

January 2025

Laboratory of Oncology, The First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing, China; Institute of Oncology, Senior Department of Oncology, The Fifth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing, China. Electronic address:

Purpose: To determine the characteristic changes of peripheral blood T cells and identify potential biomarkers that associated with the clinical efficacy of combined immunotherapy and anti-angiogenic therapy in patients with advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: We performed a comprehensive immunological assessment of peripheral blood mononuclear cell samples from advanced squamous NSCLC patients before and after combination of immunotherapy (Camrelizumab) and anti-angiogenic therapy (Apatinib) using spectral flow cytometry. Correlations between these immunological features and clinical efficacy were analyzed.
