Background: There is scarce data on the prognostic value of frailty in patients with Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM). This study aimed to assess the association between frailty and in-hospital outcomes in patients with TCM.
Methods: Adult admissions with TCM were included using the 2016-2019 National Inpatient Sample database.

Objective: This study investigated the distribution and changes in pancreatic infections among patients with acute pancreatitis (AP) from 2019 to 2023, while exploring the impact of multidrug-resistant bacterial infections on the prognosis of patients with poor outcomes.
Methods: This study included patients diagnosed with SAP between 2019 and 2023 and collected the demographic and clinical characteristics of all participants. Based on routine clinical microbiological culture results, the distribution and drug resistance of pathogens associated with pancreatic infections were analyzed.

Septic shock is a significant challenge in the management of patients with burns and traumatic injuries when complicated by infection, necessitating prompt and effective haemodynamic support. This review provides a comprehensive overview of current strategies for vasopressor and fluid management in septic shock, with the aim to optimize patient outcomes. With regard to vasopressor management, we elaborate on the pharmacologic profiles and clinical applications of catecholamines, vasopressin derivatives, angiotensin II, and other vasoactive agents.

Based on the symmetric initiation mechanism of double-wing cracks in coal rock mass induced by high-pressure electro-recoil water pressure, fracturing experiments have been performed on coal rock mass under different water pressures and discharge conditions using high-voltage electric pulse hydraulic fracturing devices. Combined with CT scans, the crack spatial distribution inside the post-break coal rock mass was analyzed and found that the edge of the water injection hole is prone to produce double-wing cracks along the drilling hole diameter. ABAQUS is used to verify the physical test and extend the test conditions, the geometric parameter change, morphological expansion rule and crack initiation mechanism of double-wing crack in coal rock mass under different discharge conditions and ground stress conditions are studied.
