When we listen to speech, our brain's neurophysiological responses "track" its acoustic features, but it is less well understood how these auditory responses are enhanced by linguistic content. Here, we recorded magnetoencephalography (MEG) responses while subjects of both sexes listened to four types of continuous-speech-like passages: speech-envelope modulated noise, English-like non-words, scrambled words, and a narrative passage. Temporal response function (TRF) analysis provides strong neural evidence for the emergent features of speech processing in cortex, from acoustics to higher-level linguistics, as incremental steps in neural speech processing.

Department of Orthopedics, Affiliated Huzhou Hospital & Liangzhu Laboratory, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Huzhou, China; Department of Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou, China; Institute of sports medicine, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China; Orthopedics Research Institute of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China; Key Laboratory of Motor System Disease Research and Precision Therapy of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou, China; Clinical Research Center of Motor System Disease of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou, China. Electronic address:

Background: Effective drugs for tendinopathy are lacking, resulting in significant morbidity and re-tearing rate after operation. Applying systems biology to identify new applications for current pharmaceuticals can decrease the duration, expenses, and likelihood of failure associated with the development of new drugs.

Methods: We identify tendinopathy signature genes employing a transcriptomics database encompassing 154 clinical tendon samples.

The western Indian continental shelf (eastern Arabian Sea) exhibits contrasting biogeochemical features. This area becomes highly productive due to summer monsoon-driven coastal upwelling in the south and winter monsoon-induced convective mixing in the north. Additionally, in the northern self, the eastern boundary of the Oxygen Minimum Zone (OMZ) persists but is absent in the south.

A Study Exploring Local Nurse Retention Data.

J Nurs Adm

January 2025

Author Affiliations: Research Nurse Coordinator (Staup), Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Dr Jasin), Infection Control Nurse (Robinson), and Clinical Nurse Educator (Hembree), Research and Evidence-Based Council, Dayton Children's Hospital; and Biostatistician (Dr Stolfi), Assistant Professor (Dr Jasin), and Associate Professor Nursing (Dr Bowling), Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio.

Background: Currently in the United States, the demand for RNs is stronger than is being supplied. This site-specific pediatric RN turnover rate was estimated at 15% per year, which is above the national average.

Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted using the Revised Casey-Fink Nurse Retention Survey tool.
