The generation of cold molecules is an important topic in the field of cold atoms and molecules and has received relevant advanced research attention in ultracold chemistry, quantum computation, and quantum metrology. With a high atomic phase space density, optical dipole traps have been widely used to prepare, trap, and study cold molecules. In this work, Rb2 molecules were photoassociated in a magneto-optical trap to obtain a precise rovibrational spectrum, which provided accurate numerical references for the realization of multiple frequency photoassociation.

We establish a theoretical model to analyze the photoassociative spectroscopy of 85Rb 133Cs molecules in the (3)3Σ+ state. The vibrational energy, spin-spin coupling constant, and hyperfine interaction constant of the (3)3Σ+ state are determined based on nine observed vibrational levels. Consequently, the Rydberg-Klein-Rees potential energy curve of the (3)3Σ+ state is obtained and compared with the ab initial potential energy curve.

Interferences emerge when multiple pathways coexist together, leading toward the same result. Here, we report a theoretical study for a reaction scheme that leads to constructive quantum interference in a photoassociation (PA) reaction of a Rb Bose-Einstein condensate where the reactant spin state is prepared in a coherent superposition of multiple bare spin states. This is achieved by changing the reactive scattering channel in the PA reaction.

This article demonstrates new observation of the high-resolution ro-vibrational bichromatic photoassociation spectra (BPAS) of Cs in the 0u+ long-range state below the asymptotes 6S + 6P. By combining with a modulation spectroscopic technique, precise references of the frequency differences have been engineered through the BPAS, with which the rotational constants of low-lying vibrational levels of the Cs0u+ long-range state have been accurately determined by fitting the frequency differences to the non-rigid-rotor model. The rotational constants for the newly observed seven ro-vibrational levels are summarized and disagreement for the level ῦ = 498 is clarified.

We have developed an approach to continuously load ultracold ^{85}Rb_{2} vibrational ground-state molecules into a crossed optical dipole trap from a magneto-optical trap. The technique relies on a single high-power light beam with a broad spectrum superimposed onto a narrow peak at an energy of about 9400 cm^{-1}. This single laser source performs all the required steps: the short-range photoassociation creating ground-state molecules after radiative emission, the cooling of the molecular vibrational population down to the lowest vibrational level v_{X}=0, and the optical trapping of these molecules.
