The BESIII Collaboration recently performed a precise measurement of the e^{+}e^{-}→DD[over ¯] Born cross sections, and confirmed the G(3900) structure reported by BABAR and Belle with high significance. We identify the G(3900) as the first P-wave DD[over ¯]^{*}/D[over ¯]D^{*} molecular resonance. The experimental and theoretical identification of the P-wave dimeson state holds paramount importance in enhancing our comprehension of the nonperturbative QCD and few-body physics.

Amaurosis Post-Bilateral Neck Dissection: A Systematic Review.

Indian J Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg

December 2024

Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Hospital, Kuwait, Kuwait.

To discuss the prevalence of amaurosis post-bilateral radical neck dissections; and to provide a management algorithm that highlights the approaches undertaken in available literature to minimize incidence and maximally improve outcomes. This objective will be achieved by systematically reviewing and highlighting current literature. We systematically reviewed Pubmed, EMBASE, and Web of Science for articles pertaining to the management of amaurosis post-bilateral neck dissection.

We present a lattice QCD calculation of the nucleon electric polarizabilities at the physical pion mass. Our findings reveal the substantial contributions of the Nπ states to these polarizabilities. Without considering these contributions, the lattice results fall significantly below the experimental values, consistent with previous lattice studies.

Article Synopsis
  • * Research shows that Mdmx plays an anti-invasive role by stabilizing and activating the RhoA GTPase, especially in the context of NEDD8 pathway inhibitors during cell migration in Xenopus embryos.
  • * The study identifies that while Mdmx promotes RhoA activation, prolonged inhibition of NEDDylation leads to Mdmx degradation by non-NEDDylated Culin4A and the Mdm2 E3-ligase, impacting its anti-invasive effects and hinting at its importance in the effectiveness of NEDD8 pathway inhibitors in

Article Synopsis
  • Loiasis, caused by the Loa loa worm and affecting around 10 million people in Central Africa, presents challenges in diagnosis and treatment due to potential severe reactions to ivermectin used for other infections.
  • Diagnosis typically involves identifying adult worms or microfilariae in blood, but many infections are "occult," prompting the need for new diagnostic tools.
  • This study compared two serological rapid antibody tests for loiasis and onchocerciasis, evaluating their effectiveness in diagnosing infections among participants, revealing a high prevalence of both microfilaremia and symptoms related to loiasis.
