Discriminative sensing for mixture by either fluorescent sensor or other sensors remains a challenge. This issue is attributed to the absence of a separation unit prior to the sensor. Here, we report a new sensing medium, named porous fluorescent monolith, which can separate mixture and meanwhile be integrated into a sensor for discriminative detection.

Traditional perspectives on occupational structure often emphasize hierarchical and socio-economic dimensions, typically reducing it to a one-dimensional framework. As noted in much previous research, this simplification may overlook the complexity of critical social issues. We argue that occupational structure is inherently continuous and multidimensional.

Non-ignorable missing data arise often in clinical trials. The VEST trial, a randomized, within-patient-controlled study, assessed the effect of an external scaffold for saphenous vein grafts on intimal hyperplasia (IH) one year after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. It was anticipated that approximately 13 % of grafts would be occluded and unsuitable for intravascular ultrasound, resulting in missing IH values at 1-year.

Spartina alterniflora is a major invasive C grass in coastal wetlands worldwide. It spreads rapidly through both clonal growth and sexual reproduction, causing significant negative impacts on the ecological functions of coastal wetland ecosystems. A key question is whether climate warming will affect its invasiveness and how adaptive management strategies can be developed to address the anticipated climate warming.
