Recombinant human erythropoietin (rh-EPO) has been shown to stimulate neurogenesis and angiogenesis, both of which play crucial roles in the repair of brain injuries. Previously, we observed that rh-EPO treatment effectively reduced brain damage and enhanced angiogenesis in a neonatal rat model of periventricular white matter damage (PWMD). The objective of this research is to investigate the specific mechanism through which rh-EPO regulates angiogenesis following PWMD in premature neonates.

Anemia is a common complication of chronic kidney disease with major option treatment of erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). This study aimed to investigate the influencing factors of erythropoietin resistance index (ERI) and its association with mortality in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Patients enrolled from China Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study (DOPPS) 5 were included.

Treatment of anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) with recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO) can be disrupted by a severe complication, anti-rHuEPO-induced pure red cell aplasia (PRCA). Specific HLA genotypes may have played a role in the high incidence of PRCA in Thai patients (1.7/1,000 patient years vs.

Objective: Recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEpo) is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency but remains the drug of choice for many cheating athletes wishing to evade detection using current methods. The aim of this study was to identify a robust metabolomics signature of rHuEpo using an untargeted approach in blood (plasma and serum) and urine.
Design: Longitudinal study.

Maoji Jiu (MJ), a medicinal wine, has been used commonly by the Chinese to enrich and nourish the blood. In this study, the aim is to examine the hematopoietic function of MJ and investigate its hematopoietic regulation mechanism. Thirty-six female Sprague-Dawley rats (200 ± 20 g) were randomly divided into six groups with six rats in each group.
