This study presents a novel approach to enhance photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation by integrating cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) with bismuth vanadate (BVO) a direct solvothermal method. The as-prepared BVO@CoPc photoanode demonstrated a photocurrent density of 4.0 mA cm at 1.

We demonstrate high-throughput evaluation of the half-metallicity of CoMnSi Heusler alloys by spin-integrated hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) of composition-spread films performed with high-brilliance synchrotron radiation at NanoTerasu, which identifies the optimum composition showing the best half-metallicity. Co Mn Si composition-spread thin films for  = 10-40% with a thickness of 30 nm are fabricated on MgO(100) substrates using combinatorial sputtering technique. The 2-ordering and (001)-oriented epitaxial growth of CoMnSi are confirmed by X-ray diffraction for  = 18-40%.

Regulation of dentate gyrus pattern separation by hilus ectopic granule cells.

Cogn Neurodyn

December 2025

State Key Laboratory of Information Photonics and Optical Communications, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, #10 Xitucheng Road, Beijing, 100876 People's Republic of China.

The dentate gyrus (DG) in hippocampus is reported to perform pattern separation, converting similar inputs into different outputs and thus avoiding memory interference. Previous studies have found that human and mice with epilepsy have significant pattern separation defects and a portion of adult-born granule cells (abGCs) migrate abnormally into the hilus, forming hilus ectopic granule cells (HEGCs). For the lack of relevant pathophysiological experiments, how HEGCs affect pattern separation remains unclear.

Photocrosslinkable hydrogels based on hyaluronic acid are promising biomaterials high in demand in tissue engineering. Typically, hydrogels are photocured under the action of UV or blue light strongly absorbed by biotissues, which limits prototyping under living organism conditions. To overcome this limitation, we propose the derivatives of well-known photosensitizers, namely chlorin , chlorin and phthalocyanine, as those for radical polymerization in the transparency window of biotissues.

Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have emerged as the most promising materials due to superior optoelectronic properties and great applications spanning from photovoltaics to photonics. Absorption spectroscopy provides a broad and deep insight into the carrier dynamics of MHPs, and is a critical complement to fluorescence and scattering spectroscopy. However, absorption spectroscopy is often misunderstood or underestimated, being seen as UV-vis spectroscopy only, which can lead to various misinterpretations.
