Aim: To evaluate the alkaline phosphatase level in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) at three time points using clear aligners and fixed orthodontic appliances.
Materials And Methods: A prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted in a tertiary care hospital to treat patients with 4-6 mm crowding in their upper front teeth. The study involved 20 patients, with 10 assigned to each group.

Objective: The mechanical stimulation known as orthodontic mechanical force (OMF) causes biological reactions in orthodontic tooth movement (OTM). Heat shock protein-70 (HSP-70) needs pro-inflammatory cytokines to trigger bone resorption in OTM; nevertheless, heat shock protein-10 (HSP-10), a "Alarmin" cytokine, should control these pro-inflammatory cytokines to get the best alveolar bone remodeling (ABR). Background: Orthodontic tooth movement occurs due to bone resorption and apposition on the pressure and tension side of the PDL. The transcription factors associated with osteoclast differentiation are NFATc1 while osteoblast differentiation is associated with RUNX2. The optimum force of orthodontic tooth movement can move the teeth to the desired position, without causing discomfort and tissue damage to the patient.

Optical trapping is a potent tool for achieving precise and noninvasive manipulation of small objects in a vacuum and liquids. However, due to the substantial disparity between optical forces and interfacial adhesion, target objects should be suspended in fluid environments, rendering solid contact surfaces a restricted area for conventional optical tweezers. In this work, by relying on a single continuous wave (CW) laser, we demonstrate an optical manipulation system applicable for both fluid and solid domains, namely, amphibious hybrid laser tweezers.

To evaluate the correlation between peri-implant probing depth (PPD) and radiographic bone level (rBL) in implants with peri-implantitis. From January 2019 to December 2022, 24 patients with 30 implants who suffered from peri-implantitis at the Department of Periodontology, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology were included in the present research.
