Background: Medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction is frequently indicated for recurrent lateral patellar instability. The preoperative presence and severity of a J-sign have been associated with poorer postoperative outcomes.
Purpose: To determine the underlying anatomic factors that contribute to the presence, severity, and jumping quality of the J-sign.

This meta-analysis investigates the effectiveness of outdoor activities in reducing the onset of myopia in children and adolescents by analysing changes in axial elongation and spherical equivalent refractive error. Following PRISMA guidelines and registered in PROSPERO (CRD42024592971), the study included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies. The eligibility criteria targeted children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years with varying levels of outdoor exposure.

Purpose: Despite numerous studies, the factors contributing to clinical success after a lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injection (LTFESI) for radicular pain remain unclear. The aim of this study was to systematically review literature evaluating preprocedural predictive factors for improved outcomes in patients receiving a LTFESI.
Methods: We searched databases including PubMed/MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, and Scopus for studies published from 2006 through 2023.

Purpose: Clinical evidence indicates that an unintended increase in the medial proximal tibial angle (MPTA) can occur during slope-reducing tibial osteotomies, which is most relevant in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) deficient knees. Therefore, the purpose of this three-dimensional (3D) simulation study is to assess how axial or coronal hinge axis rotation affect alignment parameters in anterior tibial closing wedge osteotomies (ACWO). The hypothesis states that a neutral hinge axis (NHA) in ACWO prevents changes in coronal and axial alignment.

[Ga]-tetraazacyclododecanetetraacetic acid (DOTA)-conjugated positron emission tomography (PET) is widely used to identify meningiomas due to their high expression of somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2). However, recent evidence suggests that this tracer may also show uptake in high-grade gliomas, raising concerns about its diagnostic specificity. The current study presents a challenging case of a 56-year-old man who was initially diagnosed with a right temporal glioblastoma.
