Preparing polymeric coatings with well corrosion resistance and high thermal conductivity (TC) to prolong operational life and ensure service reliability of heat conductive metallic materials has long been a substantive and urgent need while a difficult task. Here we report a multifunctional epoxy composite coating (F-CB/CEP) by synthesizing cerium methacrylate and ingeniously using it as a novel curing agent with corrosion inhibit for epoxy resin and modifier for boron nitride through "cation-π" interaction. The prepared F-CB/CEP coating presents a high TC of 4.

Stacking two-dimensional van der Waals (vdW) materials rotated with respect to each other show versatility for studying exotic quantum phenomena. In particular, anisotropic layered materials have great potential for such twistronics applications, providing high tunability. Here, we report anisotropic superconducting order parameters in twisted BiSrCaCuO (Bi-2212) vdW junctions with an atomically clean vdW interface, achieved using the microcleave-and-stack technique.

The photo-Fenton system exhibits great potential in environmental remediation. However, photo-Fenton process suffers from slow reaction kinetics, which is caused by the low yield of available charge carriers and active radicals. In this work, the 2D/2D FeNi-layered double hydroxide/bimetal-organic frameworks nanosheets (FeNi-LDH/BMNSs) photocatalyst was fabricated via an in-situ semi-sacrificial template strategy.

CeCoIn₅ is a heavy fermion superconductor with strong similarities to the high-Tc cuprates, including quasi-two-dimensionality, proximity to antiferromagnetism and probable d-wave pairing arising from a non-Fermi-liquid normal state. Experiments allowing detailed comparisons of their electronic properties are of particular interest, but in most cases are difficult to realize, due to their very different transition temperatures. Here we use low-temperature microwave spectroscopy to study the charge dynamics of the CeCoIn₅ superconducting state.

We have developed the new in situ electrical-conductivity measurement system which can be operated in ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) with accurate temperature measurement down to 20 K. This system is mainly composed of a new sample-holder fixing mechanism, a new movable conductivity-measurement mechanism, a cryostat, and two receptors for sample- and four-probe holders. Sample-holder is pushed strongly against the receptor, which is connected to a cryostat, by using this new sample-holder fixing mechanism to obtain high thermal conductivity.
