Dementia is a global public health challenge, impacting > 55 million individuals worldwide. However, widespread dissemination of efficacious non-pharmacologic interventions remains limited. A key implementation barrier is workforce preparation and support for healthcare professionals (HPs) and administrators when being trained in, implementing, and sustaining programs.

The brain attends to environmental rhythms by aligning the phase of internal oscillations. However, the factors underlying fluctuations in the strength of this phase entrainment remain largely unknown. In the present study we examined whether the strength of low-frequency EEG phase entrainment to rhythmic stimulus sequences varied with pupil size and posterior alpha-band power, thought to reflect arousal level and excitability of posterior cortical brain areas, respectively.

Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) is a known side effect of systemic steroid therapy. The role of intravitreal steroids in causing CSC is controversial. We present two cases of acute CSC that developed after intravitreal steroid injections.

Tinnitus arises from the intricate interplay of multiple, parallel but overlapping networks, involving neuroplastic changes in both auditory and non-auditory activity. Tailor-made notched music training (TMNMT) has emerged as a promising therapeutic approach for tinnitus. Residual inhibition (RI) represents one of the rare interventions capable of temporarily alleviating tinnitus, offering a valuable tool that can be applied to tinnitus research to explore underlying tinnitus mechanisms.

Introduction Incorporation of mammographic density to breast cancer risk models could improve risk stratification to tailor screening and prevention strategies according to risk. Robust evaluation of the value of adding mammographic density to models with comprehensive information on questionnaire-based risk factors and polygenic risk score is needed to determine its effectiveness in improving risk stratification of such models. Methods We used the Individualized Coherent Absolute Risk Estimator (iCARE) tool for risk model building and validation to incorporate density to a previously validated literature-based model with questionnaire-based risk factors and a 313-variant polygenic risk score (PRS).
