One of the largest and most significant transcription factor gene families in plants is the SQUAMOSA promoter binding protein (SBP) gene family and they perform critical regulatory roles in floral enhancement, fruit development, and stress resistance. The SBP protein family (also known as SPL) has not yet been thoroughly studied in the staple fruit crop, banana. A perennial monocot plant, banana is essential for ensuring food and nutrition security.

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most aggressive type of brain tumor, characterized by its heterogeneity in cellular components, including reactive astrocytes and microglia. Since neuroimmune responses like astrogliosis and microgliosis gain recognition as vital factors in brain tumor progression, there is a growing need for clinically relevant models that assess the interactions between astrocytes, microglia, and GBM. Here, a NEuroimmune-Oncology Microphysiological Analysis Platform (NEO-MAP) is presented as a "new map" to observe astrocytic scar formation and microgliosis in response to GBM.

Purpose: Ovarian cancer is the fifth fatal cancer among women. Positron emission tomography (PET), which offers detailed metabolic data, can be effectively used for early cancer screening. However, proper attenuation correction is essential for interpreting the data obtained by this imaging modality.

Purpose: Long-axial field-of-view PET scanners capture multi-organ tracer distribution with high sensitivity, enabling lower dose dynamic protocols and dual-tracer imaging for comprehensive disease characterization. However, reducing dose may compromise data quality and time-activity curve (TAC) fitting, leading to higher bias in kinetic parameters. Parametric imaging poses further challenges due to noise amplification in voxel-based modelling.

Background: Precise range verification is essential in proton therapy to minimize treatment margins due to the steep dose fall-off of proton beams. The emission of secondary radiation from nuclear reactions between incident particles and tissues stands out as a promising method for range verification. Two prominent techniques are PET and Prompt Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy (PGS).
