Neutrino Masses from a Pseudo-Dirac Bino.

Phys Rev Lett

September 2016

Fermi National Laboratory, Batavia, Illinois 60510, USA.

We show that, in U(1)_{R}-symmetric supersymmetric models, the bino and its Dirac partner (the singlino) can play the role of right-handed neutrinos and generate the neutrino masses and mixing, without the need for traditional bilinear or trilinear R-parity violating operators. The two particles form a pseudo-Dirac pair, the "biνo." An inverse seesaw texture is generated for the neutrino-biνo sector, and the lightest neutrino is predicted to be massless.

Limits on neutrino masses from neutrinoless double-β decay.

Phys Rev Lett

July 2012

Departamento de Física, Universidad de Concepción, Casilla 160-C, Concepción, Chile.

Neutrinoless double-β decay is of fundamental importance for the determining neutrino mass. By combining a calculation of nuclear matrix elements within the framework of the microscopic interacting boson model with an improved calculation of phase space factors, we set limits on the average light neutrino mass and on the average inverse heavy neutrino mass (flavor-violating parameter).

Spectroscopy of double-beta and inverse-beta decays from 100Mo for neutrinos.

Phys Rev Lett

October 2000

Nuclear Physics Laboratory and Department of Physics, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington 98195, USA.

Spectroscopic studies of two beta rays from 100Mo are shown to be of potential interest for investigating both the Majorana nu mass by neutrinoless double beta decay (0nubetabeta) and low energy solar nu's by inverse beta decay. With a multiton 100Mo detector, coincidence studies of correlated betabeta from 0nubetabeta, together with the large Q value ( Q(betabeta)), permit identification of the nu-mass term with a sensitivity of approximately 0.03 eV.
