Introduction: Color vision deficiency (CVD), a common visual impairment, affects individuals' ability to differentiate between various colors due to malfunctioning or absent color photoreceptors in the retina. Currently available diagnostic tests require a behavioral response, rendering them unsuitable for individuals with limited physical and communication abilities, such as those with locked-in syndrome. This study introduces a novel, non-invasive method that employs brain signals, specifically Steady-State Visually Evoked Potentials (SSVEPs), along with Ishihara plates to diagnose CVD.

Introduction: Several studies suggest a potential correlation between troponin levels detected in serum and saliva. However, prior investigations have not adequately addressed the critical aspect of collecting samples upon admission, which is essential for timely troponin level determination. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between troponin levels in serum and saliva among patients admitted for chest pain evaluation.

Background: The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and related indices, including the triglyceride-glucose body mass index (TyG-BMI), triglyceride-glucose waist circumference (TyG-WC), and triglyceride-glucose waist-to-height ratio (TyG-WHtR), are increasingly recognized as valuable markers of insulin resistance (IR). This study aimed to assess the associations between these TyG-related indices and kidney stones.
Methods: This cross-sectional study analyzed data from 10,824 participants obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted between 2007 and 2020.

While the impact of racism on healthcare interactions has been researched extensively in many parts of the world, substantive studies on healthcare-related racism in Europe, and particularly in Germany, remain scarce. This paper builds on a study that applies Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and aims to explore healthcare users' experiences of racism within German healthcare. Community members were trained as peer researchers and given support as they conducted a total of six focus group discussions that involved a total of 14 study participants: these participants were organized into two subsamples of seven participants each (subsample one: Black, African, Afro-diasporic healthcare users; subsample two: healthcare users perceived or self-describing as Muslim), and each subsample had three focus group discussions.
