In this paper, we analyzed the influence of the spin Nernst effect on quantum correlation in a layered ferrimagnetic model. In the study of three-dimensional ferrimagnets, the focus is on materials with a specific arrangement of spins, where the neighboring spins are parallel and the others are antiparallel. The anisotropic nature of these materials means that the interactions between spins depend on their relative orientations in different directions.

Low-Temperature Glassy Behavior of SrNi(CO)(OH)·3HO with Frustrated Spin Hexamers.

Inorg Chem

December 2024

Wuhan National High Magnetic Field Center and School of Physics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan 430074, P. R. China.

In this paper, we studied the synthesis, crystal structure, magnetism, and memory effect of a spin hexamer compound SrNi(CO)(OH)·3HO. The basic magnetic unit of this compound is a ringed spin hexamer (Ni cluster). These Ni clusters are connected by an oxalate group, constituting a two-dimensional framework along the plane.

Recent experiments on rhombohedral pentalayer graphene with a substrate-induced moiré potential have identified both Chern insulators and fractional quantum Hall states at zero magnetic field. Surprisingly, these states are observed in strong displacement fields where the effects of the moiré lattice are weak, and seem to be readily accessed without fine-tuning. To address these experimental puzzles, we study a model of interacting electrons in this geometry.

Motivated by the recent discovery of fractional quantum anomalous Hall states in moiré systems, we consider the possibility of realizing non-Abelian phases in topological minibands. We study a family of moiré systems, skyrmion Chern band models, which can be realized in two-dimensional semiconductor-magnet heterostructures and also capture the essence of twisted transition metal dichalcogenide homobilayers. We show using many-body exact diagonalization that, in spite of strong Berry curvature variations in momentum space, the non-Abelian Moore-Read state can be realized at half filling of the second miniband.

Sum rule for fluctuations of work.

Phys Rev E

September 2024

Department of Physics, Pusan National University, Busan 46241, Korea.

We study the fluctuations of work caused by applying cyclic perturbations and obtain an exact sum rule satisfied by the moments of work for a broad class of quantum stationary ensembles. In the case of the canonical ensemble, the sum rule reproduces the Jarzynski equality. The sum rule can also be simplified into a linear relationship between the work average and the second moment of work, which we numerically confirm via an exact diagonalization of a spin model system.
