Preparation and Adsorption Properties of Sodium Trimetaphosphate Crosslinked Porous Corn Starch.

Biopolymers

March 2025

Guangxi Key Laboratory of Natural Polymer Chemistry and Physics, College of Chemistry and Materials, Nanning Normal University, Nanning, People's Republic of China.

The crosslinked porous corn starch was prepared by two steps: the native corn starch was hydrolyzed by α-amylase and glucoamylase, then the porous corn was crosslinked by sodium trimetaphosphate (STMP). The morphology and size of granules, spherulites, crystal type, molecular structure, swelling properties, thermal stability and adsorption properties of the crosslinked porous starch were investigated. The results indicated that a lot of holes formed in the porous starch, and the particle size of starch granules decreased.

This study presents a novel optoporation technique using a titanium-coated TiO microstructure (TMS) device activated by an infrared diode laser for highly efficient intracellular delivery. The TMS device, fabricated with 120 nm titanium coating on a titanium dioxide (TiO) microstructure containing microneedles (height ∼2 μm and width ∼4.5 μm), demonstrates enhanced biocompatibility and thermal conductivity compared to the conventional TiO microstructure (MS).

The composition of the metal-polymer friction pair is carefully considered for interacting with water and hydrogen, ensuring the metals electrode process potential remains below waters in a neutral medium. Simultaneously, adherence to defined chemical composition ratios for the metal-polymer materials is crucial. This analysis is conducted under conditions of thermal stabilization, characterized by a minimal temperature gradient across the rim thickness within an equivalent thermal field.

Magnetic nanoparticles of Nd2Fe14B prepared by ethanol-assisted wet ball milling technique.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Environmental and Occupational Hazards Control Research Center, Research Institute for Health Sciences and Environment, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran.

The magnetic material Nd2Fe14B is one of the strongest magnetic materials found in nature. The demand for the production of these nanoparticles is significantly high due to their exceptional properties. The aim of the present study is to synthesize magnetic nanoparticles of Nd2Fe14B using ethanol in the wet ball milling technique (WBMT).

Stability of Ternary Drug-Drug-Drug Coamorphous Systems Obtained Through Mechanochemistry.

Pharmaceutics

January 2025

Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Trieste, Piazzale Europa 1, 34127 Trieste, Italy.

This study investigates the preparation of coamorphous systems composed entirely of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), namely praziquantel, niclosamide, and mebendazole. The objective was to formulate and characterize binary and ternary coamorphous systems to evaluate their structural, thermal, and stability properties. Ten different mixtures (binary and ternary) were designed through a mixture design approach and prepared using a sustainable, one-step neat grinding process in a lab-scale vibrational mill.
