The prevalence of co-morbid anxiety and depression varies greatly between research studies, making it difficult to understand and estimate the magnitude of this problem. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to provide up-to-date information on the global prevalence of co-morbid anxiety and depression in pregnant and postpartum women and to further investigate the sources of heterogeneity. Systematic searches of eight electronic databases were conducted for original studies published from inception to December 10, 2024.

Pair cross-correlation analysis for assessing protein co-localization.

Biophys J

March 2025

Institute for Theoretical Physics, Heidelberg University, Heidelberg, Germany; BioQuant, Heidelberg University, Heidelberg, Germany. Electronic address:

Measuring co-localization of different types of molecules is essential to understand molecular organization in biological systems. The pair cross-correlation (PCC) function computed from two-color microscopy images provides a measure of co-localization between differently labeled molecules. Here, we compute a theoretical expression for the PCC function between two molecules using two-dimensional Gaussian distributions as the effective point spread functions for single molecules.

Background: Tacrolimus has a narrow therapeutic index with substantial inter- and intra-patient variability, requiring therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM). Influences beyond genetic and developmental factors need to be better understood. Recent studies among adult patients suggest that hemoglobin affects the apparent clearance (CL/F) of tacrolimus, whereas this and other potential factors in children are under-investigated.

Saudi Electronic Caries Assessment Tool (SECAT) Development: Mixed Methods Feasibility Study.

Healthcare (Basel)

February 2025

Cloud Software Computing Development, General Department of Development, Cloud Computing, National Information Center, Saudi Data and AI Authority, Riyadh 12382, Saudi Arabia.

Dental caries is a significant public health challenge globally, particularly acute in Saudi Arabia's remote areas with limited healthcare access. Traditional paper-based methods for recording epidemiological data have limitations in data collection, storage, and sharing, highlighting the need for mobile solutions to enhance dental surveillance in resource-limited settings. To develop and evaluate the Saudi Electronic Caries Assessment Tool (SECAT), a mobile application designed for collecting dental caries data in remote locations, following a user-centered design approach.

Hexagonal BCN (h-BCN), an isoelectronic counterpart to graphene, exhibits chirality and offers the distinct advantage of optical activity in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region, characterized by significantly higher wavelengths compared to graphene nanoflakes. h-BCN possesses a wide bandgap and demonstrates desirable semiconducting properties. In this study, we employ Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations to investigate the proximity effects of adsorbed h-BCN flakes on two-dimensional (2D) substrates.
