3D printed skin dressings manufactured with spongin-like collagen from marine sponges: physicochemical properties and in vitro biological analysis.

Innovative skin dressings are needed for an effective skin wound treatment. Here in, it was used spongin-like collagen (SC) from marine sponge Chondrilla caribensis as a promising biomaterial, sodium alginate as matrix and, 3D printing technique to manufacture skin dressings in three concentrations (C1, C2, C3). The physicochemical, morphological and biological (in vitro) results were investigated.

To compare the effectiveness of using PI compared with CHX in IVI procedures regarding endophthalmitis rates, culture-positive endophthalmitis rates, and changes in visual acuity.

Determining environmental risk levels posed to different urban lagoon can provide an important overview regarding the relative severity of the environmental degradation of these ecosystems, increasing the risks visibility, which can be used as an important decision-making tool to prioritize investments. Jacarepaguá Lagoon (JPAL) is part of a coastal lagoon system comprising four interconnected lagoons in Rio de Janeiro city, Southeastern Brazil. Real estate speculation and insufficient sanitation infrastructure resulted in untreated sewage discharge into this ecologically sensitive lagoon system.
