Gossypol acetic acid (GAA) displays anti-fertility and antioxidant behavior. The efficacies of different doses of gossypol acetic acid were investigated in male albino rats. Rats were allocated into four groups: control group and three GAA-treated groups (2-4), that were injected with GAA (5, 10, 20mg/kg BW, respectively), through inrtaperitonial injection.

Methods: Diabetes was induced in female rats (n=12) by two successive daily injections of 55 mg/kg streptozotocin, while control animals (n=10) were injected with a buffer solution; hyperglycaemia was confirmed by blood glucose levels greater than 11 mmol/L. The study female rats were made pregnant and, on day 15 of gestation, the rats were sacrificed, and the fetuses, placentas and membranes dissected out of the uterine horns.
Gossypol displays anticancer behavior and anti-fertility in males. Male rats were treated with either gossypol acetic acid (GAA) or gossypol-iron complex (GIC). Serum alanine transaminase (ALT) activity elevated of GAA.

The efficacy of different doses of ginger (Zingiber officinalesRose) extract in alleviating hepatotoxicity was investigated in male albino rats. Oxidative stress parameters were monitored.

Diabetes was induced in female rats. Diabetic and control female rats were made pregnant.

Cadmium is causing acute liver injury but the mechanism of hepatotoxicity is poorly understood. The present study aimed to assess the possible reasons by which cadmium causes liver toxicity.

The effects of pyridoxine and allopurinol treatment were also studied. The different groups studied showed elevated levels of urinary oxalic acid, calcium, kynurenic, and xanthurenic acids as well as decreases in serum pyridoxal and pyridoxal phosphate concentrations.

L-tryptophan), and the N-nitrosamine content in urine of bilharzial bladder cancer patients. The control group was composed of healthy subjects who had no reported history of S.
