Background And Purpose: endoscopic ultrasound guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) is the method of choice for sampling pancreatic solid lesions. However, there is significant heterogeneity in terms of the technique used. Intermittent aspiration has not been evaluated in pancreatic solid lesions and could improve the diagnostic performance.

Cicatricial pemphigoid (CP) is a rare blistering autoimmune disease. Esophageal involvement occurs in widespread disease and rarely appears as the only affected organ. We report a 67-year-old Caucasian female with esophageal dysphagia and weight loss.

[Relationship between dysphagia and malnutritition in patients over 65 years of age].

Aims: The main objective of this study was to understand the relationship between oropharyngeal dysphagia, nutritional risk factors and functional impairment in the elderly (>65y) admitted to a medical-surgical hospital unit. Methods: We performed an observational, descriptive, retrospective study in patients with IBD followed-up between 2002 and 2004 in our center.

Meckel's diverticulum is the most prevalent congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract. Bleeding from Meckel's diverticulum is the most common clinical presentation, especially in childhood. In adults, manifestations include a broad spectrum of symptoms ranging from an incidental finding in surgery, iron deficiency anemia of unknown etiology, and acute abdomen due to mechanical complications of the diverticulum.
