This work reports the performances of the magnetic chitosan@graphene oxide composite (MCh@GO) for the sorption of Nd(III) from aqueous medium. The prepared composite was synthesized by a coprecipitation method and then examined by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and TGA. XRD analysis proved physical interactions between magnetic chitosan and graphene oxide through (inter- and intramolecular H-bonding and peptide bonding).

Compounds - followed the Lipinski rules of five (RO5) and ADMET analysis, exhibiting drug-like characters. Non-covalent (reversible) docking of compounds - demonstrated their binding with the catalytic dyad (CYS145 and HIS41) of 3CL and catalytic triad (CYS111, HIS272, and ASP286) of PL.

Isoproterenol infusion and cardioversion of spontaneous or induced AF can provoke NPVTs but typically require vasopressor support and increased procedural time.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify risk factors for the presence of NPVTs and create a risk score to identify higher-risk subgroups.
COVID-19, a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, has caused a huge loss of human life, and the number of deaths is still continuing. Despite the lack of repurposed drugs and vaccines, the search for potential small molecules to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 is in demand. Hence, we relied on the drug-like characters of ten phytochemicals (compounds -) that were previously isolated and purified by our research team from Saudi medicinal plants.

Objective: There is an abundance of information on facelifts, blepharoplasties, rhinoplasty, and other cosmetic surgical procedures for the upper third of the face, but little is known about perioral lip rejuvenation. The aim of this article is to examine the existing literature on lip rejuvenation and perioral procedures related to lip rejuvenation. Additionally, this article aims to highlight the importance of addressing perioral areas alongside lip rejuvenation procedures, rather than solely focusing on lip rejuvenation.

Objectives: The goal of this study was to construct an algorithm to regionalize the site of origin of NPVTs using only intracardiac bipolar electrograms from 2 linear decapolar catheters positioned in the posterolateral right atrium (along the crista terminalis with the distal bipole pair in the superior vena cava) and in the proximal coronary sinus (CS).
A new species, Al-Qahtni, Al-Salem, Alqahtani & Badry, , is described and illustrated from the Majami al-Hadb Protected Area in the Riyadh Province of Saudi Arabia. The new species is compared with species of distributed in Saudi Arabia, especially Lowe, Yağmur & Kovařík, 2014. The integrated results indicate that the population found in Majami al-Hadb represents a distinct species, which is described herein.

The aim of this study was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the incidence rates, anatomical sites, and histological subtypes of different salivary gland malignancies in the population of KSA.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients diagnosed with MSGC in KSA from 2008 to 2017, on the basis of the demographic characteristics and histological data retrieved from the Saudi Cancer Registry database.
Sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus disease (SPND) is an acquired chronic disease with no precise etiopathogenesis. The morbidity associated with the disease necessitates the implementation of new techniques, such as sinus laser therapy (SiLaT), to improve disease management. However, surgical techniques as of now are preferred as the mainstay mode of treatment.

Monogeneans Pricea multae naturally infested 42 of the 120 (35%) mackerel fish (Scomberomorus commerson) examined. For the first time, an infestation was discovered off the coast of Jubil in the Arabian Gulf of Saudi Arabia. Based on the structure clarified through light and electron microscopy of mounted specimens and molecular analysis of rDNA and measurements of this monogenean parasite was identified as P.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFTris (2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (TEHP) is an organophosphate flame retardant (OPFRs) which is extensively used as a plasticizer and has been detected in human body fluids. Contemporarily, toxicological studies on TEHP in human cells are very limited and there are few studies on its genotoxicity and cell death mechanism in human liver cells (HepG2). Herein, we find that HepG2 cells exposed to TEHP (100, 200, 400 µM) for 72 h reduced cell survival to 19.

Herein, we evaluated the hepatotoxic and carcinogenic potential of TBEP in human liver cells (HepG2). HepG2 cells exhibited cytotoxicity after 3 days of exposure, especially at greater concentrations (100-400 μM).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTris(1,3-Dichloro-2-propyl)phosphate (TDCPP) is an organophosphorus flame retardant (OPFR) widely used in a variety of consumer products (plastics, furniture, paints, foams, and electronics). Scientific evidence has affirmed the toxicological effects of TDCPP in in vitro and in vivo test models; however, its genotoxicity and carcinogenic effects in human cells are still obscure. Herein, we present genotoxic and carcinogenic properties of TDCPP in human liver cells (HepG2).

We aim to find out about the obstacles for the clinical care of the patients in the COVID, the questions frequently asked by cancer patients, and the medical care and support teams' general experience in taking care of cancer patients during the times of the pandemic.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a Qualtrics survey that was developed by Cancer and Aging Research Group among 275 health care providers to cancer patients during.
Objectives: To evaluate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient tracheostomy outcomes.
Methods: All COVID-19 patients at the National Guard Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, were retrospectively recruited. Those who had tracheostomies between April and December 2020 were included.
In this study, Scaphanocephalus parasite (Platyhelminthes: Heterophyidae) metacercariae were found in Siganus argenteus (forktail rabbitfish or streamlined spinefoot) in the Arabian Gulf of Jubail province, Saudi Arabia. The findings may constitute new host and locality records for this parasite. Based on the number of black spots containing parasite cysts per fish, our study indicated that Siganus argenteus had high infection intensities of encysted metacercariae belonging to the genus Scaphanocephalus.

MAOB is proposed to play a major role in the pathogenesis of neurodegeneration through the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and neurotoxins. The present study was designed to outline the effects of the MAOB inhibitor (MAOB-I) on neuroprotection of spinal neurons, regeneration of sciatic nerve fibers, and recovery of sensory-motor functions in the sciatic nerve crush injury model.

Fluorescence monitoring of endogenous microRNA (miRNA or miR) activity related to neuronal development using nano-sized materials provides crucial information on miRNA expression patterns in a noninvasive manner. In this study, we report a new method to monitor intracellular miRNA124a using quantum dot-based molecular beacon (R9-QD-miR124a beacon). The R9-QD-miR124a beacon was constructed using QDs and two probes, miR124a-targeting oligomer and arginine rich cell-penetrating peptide (R9 peptide).
