Background: Vascular surgery patients are at a high risk of polypharmacy and drug-related problems. Only a limited number of studies have explored the impact of hospital pharmacists being members of a multidisciplinary team in the care of vascular surgery patients. The clinical study (Trial Registration Number NCT04930302, 16 June 2021) aimed to assess the impact of pharmacist-led interventions on the prevalence of drug-related problems among patients hospitalised at the vascular surgery department.

Background: : The SARS-CoV-2 virus can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes; pregnant women also experience immune suppression, increasing vulnerability. Vaccination can confer lasting protection, but most clinical trials exclude pregnant and breastfeeding women, leading to paucity of safety data.

Methods: : Via an online questionnaire, we have inquired about the safety experience of 2192 pregnant or breastfeeding women vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2, including the incidence of adverse events, pregnancy outcomes, and confirmed infection with SARS-CoV-2.

To analyse the market shares of biosimilars in Slovakia and to calculate the potential cost-savings from the use of biosimilars in Slovakia based on two different data sources. National reimbursement lists from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia were used for analyzing the availability of biosimilars with public funding. In addition, the reimbursement dossiers of biosimilars, the justifications of reimbursement decisions by the Slovak Ministry of Health, and final reimbursement decrees, which are published on the webpage of the Slovak Ministry of Health, were utilized for this study.
