To explore the predictive value of the nomogram model based on multimodal ultrasound features for benign and malignant thyroid nodules of C-TIRADS category 4. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the general conditions and ultrasound features of patients who underwent thyroid ultrasound examination and fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNA) or thyroidectomy at the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from April 2020 to April 2023. Predictive signs for benign and malignant nodules of thyroid C-TIRADS category 4 were screened through LASSO regression and multivariate logistic regression analysis to construct a nomogram prediction model.

Extrarenal rhabdoid tumor of the greater omentum is extremely rare, with only sporadic reports and limited documentation of its ultrasonographic findings. Here, we report a case of an extrarenal rhabdoid tumor of the greater omentum in a 16-year-old girl and review the relevant literature. It was found that the disease mainly occurred in female children and adolescents, and mainly manifested as lower abdominal pain and a large abdominal cystic or solid hemorrhagic mass.

The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays an important role in dynamically regulating the progress of cancer and influencing the therapeutic results. Targeting the tumor microenvironment is a promising cancer treatment method in recent years. The importance of tumor immune microenvironment regulation by ultrasound combined with microbubbles is now widely recognized.

The replicative senescence of human amniotic epithelial stem cells (hAECs) is a major concern towards its clinical application. This study found that a 300-kDa hyaluronic acid (HA) could effectively delay the replicative senescence of hAECs, as indicated by the downregulation of cellular senescence markers and alteration of the cell cycle, and substantially improve the differentiation capacities of hAECs. HA was confirmed to regulate the CD44 isoform switch by upregulating the CD44s and downregulating the CD44v, thus exerting an anti-aging effect.

This study aimed to compare the value of ultrasound elastography combined with contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) quantitative analysis in the differentiation of nodular fibrocystic breast change (FBC) from breast invasive ductal carcinoma (BIDC). We selected 50 patients each with nodular FBC and BIDC, who were admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from January 2018 to December 2021. Their ultrasonic elastic images and CEUS videos were collected, their ultrasound elastography scores and the ratio of strain rate (SR) of the lesions were determined, and the exported DICOM format videos of CEUS were quantitatively analyzed using VueBox software to obtain quantitative perfusion parameters.

A 52 year old woman presented to the emergency department of Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University, Zunyi, China in May 2022, complaining of a palpable lower abdominal mass since two days. She denied haematuria, umbilical drainage, or any other urinary symptoms. Previous health record indicated that the patient was diagnosed with urachal inflammatory pseudotumour.

The aim of this study was to explore the use of a contrast agent to study the effects of exposure to ultrasound, in combination with microbubbles, on liposome-mediated transfection of genes into human prostate cancer cells. A contrast agent was used to study the effects of ultrasound exposure in combination with microbubbles on liposomes, which transfect genes into human prostate cancer cells. The human prostate cancer cell line PC-3 in suspension was exposed to ultrasound with a 20% duty cycle (i.

Cardiac hypertrophy is a physiological adaptive response of the heart to diverse pathophysiological stimuli. Initially, it may be adaptive to normalize wall stress and to preserve contractile performance. This adaptive process may gradually progress to dilated cardiomyopathy, fibrotic diseases, arrhythmia, heart failure and even sudden death.

Congenital diverticulum and aneurysm are rare cardiac abnormalities. Given their very low incidence especially in adult patients and the few cases reported, the diagnosis might be ignored when the cardiac malformation is seen for the first time. This article presents two adult cases of congenital diverticulum and aneurysm, which were first detected by echocardiography.
