In this work, the coprecipitation approach was successfully used to create Mg-Al hydrotalcite-like inhibitors modified with varying amounts of Zn, and their characteristics were assessed. The findings indicate that the flame retardancy of Mg-Al hydrotalcite (MgAl-LDHs) is not significantly affected by Zn content. By adding MgAl-LDHs, the temperature at which the exothermic reaction started to occur was raised from 146.

Structured pruning is a representative model compression technology for convolutional neural networks (CNNs), aiming to prune some less important filters or channels of CNNs. Most recent structured pruning methods have established some criteria to measure the importance of filters, which are mainly based on the magnitude of weights or other parameters in CNNs. However, these judgment criteria lack explainability, and it is insufficient to simply rely on the numerical values of the network parameters to assess the relationship between the channel and the model performance.

Rechargeable potassium (K) batteries that are of low cost, with high energy densities and long cycle lives have attracted tremendous interest in affordable and large-scale energy storage. However, the large size of the K-ion leads to sluggish reaction kinetics and causes a large volume variation during the ion insertion/extraction processes, thus hindering the utilization of active electrode materials, triggering a serious structural collapse, and deteriorating the cycling performance. Therefore, the exploration of suitable materials/hosts that can reversibly and sustainably accommodate K-ions and host K metals are urgently needed.

A new method for measuring the alternating current (AC) half-wave voltage of a Mach-Zehnder modulator is proposed and verified by experiment in this paper. Based on the opto-electronic self-oscillation technology, the physical relationship between the saturation output power of the oscillating signal and the AC half-wave voltage is revealed, and the value of the AC half-wave voltage is solved by measuring the saturation output power of the oscillating signal. The experimental results show that the measured data of this new method involved are in agreement with a traditional method, and not only an external microwave signal source but also the calibration for different frequency measurements is not needed in our new method.
