Pre‑exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is an effective measure for preventing human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection among people at risk, including adolescents and young adults (AYA). This study evaluates the prevalence of PrEP awareness and endorsement, as well as the factors associated with these outcomes, using data from the 2022 Tanzania Demographic and Health Survey. Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended cryptococcal antigen (CrAg) screening for people presenting with advanced HIV disease (AHD) and for those with positive CrAg without evidence of meningitis to initiate preemptive antifungal medication. Data on the implementation of WHO recommendations regarding CrAg screening is limited. We estimated pooled prevalence of CrAg screening uptake, cryptococcal antigenemia, lumbar puncture, cryptococcal meningitis and initiation of preemptive antifungal medication from available eligible published studies conducted in Africa.

Background: Low-level viremia (LLV) (HIV-RNA 51-999 copies/mL) is associated with increased risk of non viral load suppression (HIV-RNA ≥ 1000 copies/mL). We assessed the association between differentiated service delivery model (DSDM) and LLV among people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Rwanda.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort analysis using routinely collected data of adults living with HIV from 28-healthcare facilities in Rwanda before and after the introduction of DSDM.
