Emerging studies have examined the effectiveness of combined exercise and cognitive intervention (combined intervention) on the cognitive function of older adults with MCI, but the conclusions remain disputed. Our study aimed to comprehensively examine the efficacy of the combined intervention on cognitive and physical function in older adults with MCI. PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and PsycINFO were retrieved to identify the relevant articles.

Methods: A convenience sampling method was employed to enlist college students from Songjiang University Town in Shanghai to complete in the General Information Questionnaire, Patient Health Questionnaire-9, and Physical Activity Scale-3.
Results: A total of 3541 students were analyzed, averaging 19.
The growing period is a critical period for the growth and development of hens and affects their production performance during the laying period. During the early stage of growing, bone and muscle growth is rapid, making it necessary to provide sufficient amino acids (AA) to support the growth and development of laying hens. In this experiment, RNA-Sequencing (RNA-Seq) was applied to compare the liver tissues from 6- to 12-wk-old growing laying hens to identify candidate genes related to growth and AA transport and metabolism.

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and glutathione (GSH) have been reported as having anti-oxidative and other functions. The present study aimed to investigate the detoxification effect of EGCG and GSH alone or in combination on AFB exposure in ducklings.

The GWAS results of backfat thickness, skin thickness and carcass length showed that all the most significant SNPs associated with these three traits were located on SSC7, and that 14.9, 27.

Objective: This study aims to explore the influences of Tai Chi on the balance function and exercise capacity among stroke patients.
Methods: Databases including PubMed, Embase, WOS (Web of Science), the Cochrane Library, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), Wanfang Data, VIP (VIP database), and CBM (China Biology Medicine disc) were retrieved to gather the figures of randomized controlled trials on the balance function and exercise capacity among stroke patients. Then relevant data were input and analyzed in Review Manager 5.
Depression is a common mental disorder characterized by high incidence, high disability, and high fatality, causing great burden to the society, families, and individuals. The changes in brain plasticity may be a main reason for depression. Recent studies have shown that exercise plays a positive role in depression, but systematic and comprehensive studies are lacking on brain plasticity changes in depression.

Sirtuin-1 (SIRT1) is an important regulator of metabolic homeostasis and stress response pathways in white adipose tissue. However, involvement of microRNAs (miRNAs) in regulating SIRT1 during obesity-induced inflammation and insulin-resistance remains unclear.

The supplementation of feed with antioxidants decreases degradation of lipids in muscles thereby enhances nutritional and sensory properties of meat. Two experiments were conducted to determine the effects of adding oregano essential oil (OEO) and benzoic acid (BA) to low-protein, amino acid-supplemented diets on meat quality, sensory profile, fatty acid composition, and lipid oxidation of longissimus thoracis (LT) muscle in pigs.

Thirty-six barrows were randomly divided into three experimental treatments, namely, normal protein diet (NPD), reduced-protein, amino acid-supplemented diet (RPD), and identical RPD supplemented (250mg/kg feed) with OEO (OEO) treatments. Dietary RPD and OEO increased the b*, tenderness, overall acceptance, and intramuscular fat (IMF) content of pork compared with dietary NPD.
