Background: A newly uncovered parvovirus, Chaphamaparvovirus, continues to be reported across various species. This study investigated the detection and genetic characterization of Chaphamaparvovirus galliform (GaChpV) in poultry, specifically broilers and turkeys, from various regions in Türkiye. To address this, comprehensive sampling and analysis were conducted to better understand the virus's distribution and impact in these avian populations.

Mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a transitional stage before AD, urgently needs the development of prediction models for conversion from MCI to AD.
Method: This study used machine learning methods to predict whether MCI subjects would develop AD, highlighting the importance of biomarkers (biological indicators from neuroimaging, such as MRI and PET scans, and molecular assays from cerebrospinal fluid or blood) and non-biomarker features in AD research and clinical practice.
Genotypic differences influence many characteristics of garlic. These differences are particularly prominent in antioxidant, phenolic, and volatile compounds. Therefore, garlics obtained from four different regions of Turkey (Ankara, Mersin, Maraş, Taşköprü) were used in yogurt production.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether muscle biopsy reveals predictive information about the success rate of patients undergoing diabetic major lower limb amputation.
Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted among diabetic patients who underwent below-knee amputation.
This study aimed to examine the antibacterial, antioxidant, and enzyme activity of Centaurea hyalolepis, as well as the total phenolic and carotenoid contents, and volatile and phenolic components. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was used for the volatile component analysis of C. hyalolepis, while liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was used for the phenolic component analysis.

Objective: Aim of this study is to compare the thiol/disulfide variables before treatment, at the 3 and 6 months of biologic treatment in patients with axSpA.
Materials & Methods: Consecutive patients with axial spondyloarthritis to whom biologic treatment was initiated in our clinic were enrolled upon consent. Demographics, clinical characteristics, laboratory parameters and treatment agents were collected.
Purpose: The objective of the present study is to examine how repairing the capsule affects the radiological and clinical results of treating acute Rockwood type V acromioclavicular joint dislocations using the endobutton method.
Methods: The study involved patients between the ages of 18 and 65 who had acute Rockwood type V acromioclavicular joint dislocation and were treated using the double endobutton technique, with or without capsule repair, from January 2021 to December 2023. Clinical and radiological assessment was conducted at various time points up to the last follow-up.
Background: The selection of an implant is a critical factor in the surgical treatment of patella fractures due to the risk of various complications, such as non-union, implant failure, and irritation. The present study evaluated and compared the biomechanical strength of headless cannulated screws about screw length using the tension band wiring technique.
Methods: Forty-eight sawbone patellas with transverse fractures were divided into three fixation groups based on the screw length used in tension band wiring.
We aimed to investigate the approaches for antifungal prophylaxis (AFP) and antifungal treatment in breakthrough invasive fungal diseases (IFDs) under AFP in high-risk hematology patients. Patients ≥ 18-years who received chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) or a conditioning regimen for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) with a duration of neutropenia (< 500 cells/mm) ≥ 10 days were included in a prospective multicenter observational study. Patients were followed until one week after recovery from neutropenia, discharge from the hospital, or death, which comes first to define the success of AFP.

Significant gaps exist regarding the evidence for the evaluation and management of dysphagia in older patients. This study aimed to diagnose swallowing disorders and highlight the importance of swallowing therapy in older patients in intensive care units (ICUs).

Soil samples were collected from ten plots (depth profiles of 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm, and 20-30 cm) and combined at each depth to create composite samples. Additionally, 20 g of each vegetable were collected and divided into fruit, stem, and root components.

West Nile Virus (WNV) infection represents a major global public health challenge. Even though most of the patients are asymptomatic, some cases progress to critical condition which may be fatal. Diagnosis traditionally relies on serological methods, but their limitations, including cross-reactivity, highlight the need for alternative approaches.

The choice of appropriate revascularization procedure (carotid endarterectomy (CEA) or carotid artery stenting (CAS)) in these patients is controversial. The aim of this study is to share the results of clinical and radiological follow-up after CAS in these patients and to contribute to the literature by evaluating the efficacy and safety of stenting.

The well-documented complications of penile prostheses include pain, infection, mechanical failure, improper positioning, and erosion. In this case, we report a patient presenting with penile skin necrosis, despite the absence of typical risk factors such as diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, or chronic renal failure, attributed to pressure from a condom catheter that was used 15 years after the inflatable penile prosthesis implantation.

The holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) is a widely accepted and reliable treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasias. In developing countries where HoLEP surgery has only recently been introduced, its popularity is steadily increasing. In our case, the patient's history of HoLEP and the image of the irregular mass extending from the anterior bladder wall into the lumen were initially misdiagnosed as bladder cancer.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and cardiac function as measured by ejection fraction (EF) is an important determinant of outcomes, making accurate measurement a critical parameter in PT evaluation. Echocardiograms are commonly used for measuring EF, but human interpretation has limitations in terms of intra- and inter-observer (or reader) variance. Deep learning (DL) has driven a resurgence in machine learning, leading to advancements in medical applications.
