Background: A newly uncovered parvovirus, Chaphamaparvovirus, continues to be reported across various species. This study investigated the detection and genetic characterization of Chaphamaparvovirus galliform (GaChpV) in poultry, specifically broilers and turkeys, from various regions in Türkiye. To address this, comprehensive sampling and analysis were conducted to better understand the virus's distribution and impact in these avian populations.

Machine Learning Approaches for Predicting Progression to Alzheimer's Disease in Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment.

Purpose: Alzheimer's disease (AD), a neurodegenerative disorder, is a condition that impairs cognition, memory, and behavior. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a transitional stage before AD, urgently needs the development of prediction models for conversion from MCI to AD.

Method: This study used machine learning methods to predict whether MCI subjects would develop AD, highlighting the importance of biomarkers (biological indicators from neuroimaging, such as MRI and PET scans, and molecular assays from cerebrospinal fluid or blood) and non-biomarker features in AD research and clinical practice.

This study evaluates the concentrations of seventeen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soil and selected vegetable samples (onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, sweet peppers, and garden eggs) from Tiga agricultural locations in Kano State, Nigeria. Soil samples were collected from ten plots (depth profiles of 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm, and 20-30 cm) and combined at each depth to create composite samples. This case report highlights a rare complication of arthroscopic meniscal tear which is an arteriovenous fistula and pseudoaneurysm of the superior medial geniculate artery. A 14-year-old male patient presented with persistent hemarthrosis following arthroscopic repair of a bucket handle medial meniscal tear. The patient was investigated due to suspicion of vascular damage.

Purpose: Patients with contralateral carotid artery occlusion (CCO) represent a subgroup of patients at risk for revascularization procedures. The choice of appropriate revascularization procedure (carotid endarterectomy (CEA) or carotid artery stenting (CAS)) in these patients is controversial. A Rare Complication of an Inflatable Penile Prosthesis: Penile Skin Necrosis Due to Inappropriate Use of the Condom Catheter.

Penile prosthesis implantation is considered a last-resort treatment for erectile dysfunction, used when pharmacological and other conservative treatments are inadequate or at the patient's request. The well-documented complications of penile prostheses include pain, infection, mechanical failure, improper positioning, and erosion. In this case, we report a patient presenting with penile skin necrosis, despite the absence of typical risk factors such as diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, or chronic renal failure, attributed to pressure from a condom catheter that was used 15 years after the inflatable penile prosthesis implantation.
