Background: As unhealthy diets have proliferated, there has been an increasing trend in the prevalence of obesity along with socioeconomic progress. WWI, mainly representing weight-independent central obesity, is a more accurate indicator of obesity than BMI and WC. Klotho is known to be one of the root causes of several age-related illnesses.

The systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), an integrated and ground-breaking inflammatory measure, has been widely used in various fields. We aimed to assess the association between the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and α-Klotho (a new anti-aging biomarker). In this cross-sectional investigation, people with complete information on SII and α-Klotho from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2007 and 2016 were the study's subject population.

Aims: Obesity is detrimental to infertility. The association between weight-adjusted-waist index (WWI, a recently developed adiposity indicator) and infertility has not previously been confirmed.

Methods: The data for this study were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013-2018.

Tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) represent an attractive cell target for anticancer therapy. However, selective and efficient targeting of TAMs remains difficult. Here, we constructed a novel dually functionalised nanoparticle platform (-T-NPs) by surface co-modification of nanoparticles (NPs) with tuftsin (T) and legumain protease-sheddable polyethylene glycol 5k (PEG) to achieve selective targeted delivery to TAMs.

M2 tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) play a pivotal role in cancer progression and therapy resistance. Inhibition of TAMs is of great significance to reshape the protumor environment to benefit therapeutic outcomes. In this work, we developed a novel TAMs and tumor cells dual-targeting nanoparticle (AT-NPs) system for cancer chemotherapy by integrating a docetaxel (DTX)-loaded nanocarrier and a multi-function peptide AT, which is composed of a phagocytosis-stimulating peptide-tuftsin (T) fused with a substrate peptide-alanine-alanine-asparagine (AAN) of endoprotease legumain.
