Background: Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) of the scrotum is a rare disease that requires surgical excision. A positive margin is related to recurrence and poorer prognosis. We aimed to investigate the expression of Ki67 and periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) in a biopsy sample and to evaluate their predictive value in true margin status.

Materials And Methods: A total of 667 patients with ccRCC and at least one PNS were included. Thorough history taking, physical examinations, and laboratory tests were used to diagnose PNS.
To explore the rationale for renal-sparing surgery as an alternative method to radical nephrectomy in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), we analyzed clinical data from 94 patients diagnosed as having RCC. They were divided into 3 groups based on the maximum diameter of their tumor specimens. Group A had tumors size ranging from 0 to 4 cm, group B had tumors size ranging from 4 to 7 cm, and group C had tumors size greater than 7 cm.

Methods: The symptoms, signs, imaging studies, tumour markers and histological diagnoses of 47 cases were reviewed.
Results: The mass in testes was palpated in all patients.
To investigate the role of the Fas/Fas ligand (Fas/FasL) system in testicular toxicity induced by epirubicin (Epi) and to correlate the system with the serum levels of soluble Fas and Fas ligand (sFas/sFasL), epirubicin was intraperitoneally administered to male Sprague-Dawley male rats at doses of 1.2mg/kg once a week for 10 weeks, and genital organ weights and histopathology were examined. Fas and FasL expression in rat testis were examined by immunohistochemistry.

Methods: The SNPs in the XPC, XPG, XRCC1, NQO2, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP3A4, and CYP3A5 genes were genotyped using the TaqMan Probe-based polymerase chain reaction.
Results: The AC + CC genotypes of XPC Lys939Gln and the CC genotype of XPG His1104Asp were more frequent in patients of superficial bladder cancer at the initial diagnosis (adjusted OR [95% CI], 1.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathologic feature and treatment result as well as prognosis of Paget's disease of the scrotum.
Methods: The data of 79 patients with Paget's disease of the scrotum confirmed pathologically from 1993 to 2004 were retrospectively analyzed. The median age of these patients was 62.
Objective: To study the expression levels and cell-specific expression patterns of steroid 5alpha-reductase type 1 and type 2 isoenzymes in human benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) tissues.
Methods: Immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR were used to investigate qualitatively and semi-quantitatively the expression of 5alpha-reductases type 1 and type 2 in 15 specimens of normal prostate tissues from dead kidney donor or patients undergoing cystectomy and 25 BPH tissues obtained from suprapubie enucleation.
Results: Both steroid 5alpha-reductase type 1 mRNA and protein and 5alpha-reductase type 2 mRNA and protein were present in the normal and BPH tissues, especially in the glandular epithelial cells and mainly in the cytoplasm.
