The Prevalence and Degree of Endoparasitic Infections in Wild Boars Using the Semi-quantitative Fecal Egg Count Method.

Purpose: Breeding of wild boars is a significant part of the hunting economy; however, hogs are associated with zoonotic infection. This study assessed the prevalence and degree of parasitic infections that exist in wild boars from two hunting grounds in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia.

Methods: Parasitological examinations were conducted from 2016 to 2019.

The European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps 2020 is the update of similar evidence based position papers published in 2005 and 2007 and 2012. The core objective of the EPOS2020 guideline is to provide revised, up-to-date and clear evidence-based recommendations and integrated care pathways in ARS and CRS. EPOS2020 provides an update on the literature published and studies undertaken in the eight years since the EPOS2012 position paper was published and addresses areas not extensively covered in EPOS2012 such as paediatric CRS and sinus surgery.

Synchronous myeloproliferative and inflammatory disease of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses: an interesting differential diagnostic problem.

The authors present a case of synchronous manifestation of a myeloproliferative--extramedullary plasmocytoma--and a chronic inflammatory disease of the nose and the paranasal sinuses. They emphasise the importance of imaging techniques and immunohistochemistry in the differential diagnosis. They discuss on the basis of published articles the new classification, clinical manifestations, diagnostic and therapeutical approaches of this tumour belonging to the group of monoclonal gammopathies, which originates from an abnormal proliferation of mature B-lymphocytes, and is a rarity in the literature even nowadays.

[Recurrence rate in Bassini operation after five years].

Recently, to repair an inguinal hernia the tension-free Lichtenstein operation is preferred. The main reason, why Bassini operation is less preferred is its high recurrence rate, caused by tissue tension. We examined the recurrence rate of Bassini repair 5 years after operation.

[Characterization of ipriflavone structure by instrumental examination].

The elucidation of the chemical structure of lpriflavone was carried out by ultraviolet absorption spectrophotometric, infrared spectroscopic, 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic, low and high resolution EI mass spectrometric, thermoanalytical, elemental analytical and X-ray diffraction methods. The results unambigously verify the structure of Ipriflavone.
